We’ll spend time understanding how Māori see and experience the world, the foundations. Once you start to see things from that perspective, the language comes more naturally. This isn’t about getting grammar right or saying everything perfectly it’s about being open to a different way of thinking and seeing.
Each week we’ll explore different kaupapa, with a big focus on atua Māori, pūrākau and whakapapa. These stories and ideas help guide how we understand the world and our place in it.
Outcome: By the end, the hope is that everyone walks away with a simple whakapapa structure, and a shifted view of the Māori world, something that stays with you beyond the course.
